Renewable Energy Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of key projects in the energy sector . Based in Newcastle upon Tyne , this role involves managing all phases of project lifecycles, from feasibility studies and design to construction and commissioning. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. This is a critical role for driving forward sustainable energy initiatives within the region, requiring strong leadership and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of renewable energy projects (e.g., solar, wind).
• Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and risk mitigation strategies effectively.
• Oversee the selection and management of contractors and suppliers, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and local authorities to secure necessary permits and approvals.
• Conduct site visits and progress meetings to monitor project status and address any challenges.
• Ensure all projects comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards within the energy industry .

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Significant experience (5+ years) in project management within the renewable energy sector .
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex energy infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
