Research Associate - Genomics

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and enthusiastic Research Associate to join their cutting-edge genomics laboratory in Bradford . This role will involve hands-on execution of genomic experiments, including DNA/RNA extraction, library preparation, and sequencing workflows. You will contribute to diverse research projects, supporting the discovery and validation of biomarkers and therapeutic targets. Key Responsibilities

• Perform DNA and RNA extraction and purification from various biological samples.
• Prepare sequencing libraries using established protocols for platforms like Illumina.
• Operate and maintain high-throughput sequencing instruments and associated equipment.
• Assist in the analysis and interpretation of genomic data under senior guidance.
• Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and contribute to experimental reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life science discipline.
• Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis).
• Familiarity with genomics workflows and sequencing technologies is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols accurately.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment in Bradford .
