About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and synthesize novel chemical entities based on project goals and structure-activity relationship (SAR) data.
• Optimize lead compounds for improved potency, selectivity, pharmacokinetic properties, and safety.
• Utilize modern synthetic techniques and analytical methods (NMR, LC-MS, HPLC) for compound characterization and purity assessment.
• Collaborate effectively with biological teams to assess compound activity and guide SAR exploration.
• Stay current with the literature and emerging trends in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery.
• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and contribute to research reports.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry.
• Proven experience in synthetic organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry principles.
• Demonstrated ability to design and synthesize novel small molecules for drug discovery programs.
• Proficiency in spectroscopic and chromatographic analytical techniques.
• Familiarity with computational tools for molecular design and SAR analysis is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid setting.
