About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Research Scientist specializing in Molecular Biology to join their expanding research team in Liverpool . This role is integral to developing and executing experiments that advance our understanding of cellular processes and disease mechanisms. You will be responsible for designing, performing, and analyzing a range of molecular biology assays, contributing to key research projects aimed at discovering novel therapeutic interventions. Key Responsibilities

• Design and perform a variety of molecular biology experiments, including PCR, qPCR, cloning, and western blotting.
• Develop and optimize new assays to support drug discovery and development programs.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data, ensuring accuracy and reproducibility.
• Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and results in compliance with lab standards.
• Collaborate with team members on project goals and troubleshoot experimental challenges.
• Contribute to scientific discussions and the preparation of research reports and presentations.

Requirements

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a molecular biology research setting.
• Proficiency in standard molecular biology techniques and instrumentation.
• Experience with cell culture techniques is desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
