About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Residential Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of properties in Portsmouth and the surrounding Hampshire area. You will be the primary point of contact for tenants and landlords, ensuring properties are well-maintained, tenancies run smoothly, and all legal obligations are met. This role demands excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to property management. You will be responsible for rent collection, coordinating repairs, conducting property inspections, and ensuring tenant satisfaction, contributing to the smooth operation of our client's rental assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of a residential property portfolio, ensuring high tenant satisfaction.
- Handle rent collection, manage arrears, and process payments efficiently.
- Coordinate and oversee all property maintenance and repair requests, liaising with contractors.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with lease agreements and identify maintenance needs.
- Process tenant applications, conduct referencing, and manage the move-in/move-out process.
- Ensure compliance with all landlord-tenant laws and regulations in the Portsmouth area.
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential property management.
- Strong knowledge of UK landlord and tenant legislation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service.
- Must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a reliable vehicle for property visits in Hampshire .
