About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Residential Property Valuer to join their established firm in Edinburgh . This hybrid role involves conducting property valuations both on-site and remotely, contributing to a variety of valuation and advisory services. You will be responsible for assessing property values accurately, preparing detailed valuation reports, and advising clients on property matters. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the residential property market in Scotland and maintain the highest professional standards in their work, balancing fieldwork with office-based analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct physical inspections of residential properties to assess their condition and value.
• Prepare comprehensive and accurate property valuation reports for a range of purposes, including sales, mortgages, and investments.
• Research and analyze local market data, comparable sales, and relevant economic factors.
• Advise clients on property market trends, potential issues, and investment opportunities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of valuation standards and best practices in the UK.
• Utilize valuation software and tools to ensure efficiency and accuracy in reporting.

Requirements

• Recognized qualification in residential property valuation (e.g., RICS).
• Proven experience as a Property Valuer or Surveyor.
• In-depth knowledge of the Scottish residential property market .
• Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with valuation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills, comfortable with both site visits and remote interactions.
