Residential Support Worker

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join their established team in a supported living setting in Belfast . This role is focused on providing comprehensive care and assistance to individuals with complex needs, including learning disabilities and autism, fostering an environment of respect, empowerment, and independence. You will work collaboratively with residents, their families, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure that high-quality, person-centred support is delivered consistently. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on support to residents in line with their individual care and support plans.
• Assist residents with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, domestic tasks, and medication management.
• Promote resident independence, choice, and social inclusion through a range of planned activities and community integration.
• Monitor residents' physical, emotional, and mental well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the senior care staff or management.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to strict confidentiality and data protection policies.

Requirements

• Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or complex needs is highly preferred.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults and person-centred approaches.
• Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to empathise and build trust.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, responding effectively to challenging situations.
• Willingness to undertake shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends, as required by the rota.
