Retail Merchandising Assistant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated Retail Merchandising Assistant to support their visual merchandising team on a contract basis, with a remote working arrangement based out of Nottingham . You will assist in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of in-store visual displays and merchandising strategies across various retail locations. This role requires creativity, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate brand concepts into compelling retail environments. You will collaborate closely with the merchandising team to ensure brand consistency and enhance the customer shopping experience through effective visual presentation, contributing to sales uplift.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation and implementation of visual merchandising plans and store layouts.
• Support the execution of seasonal campaigns and promotional displays.
• Ensure all merchandising standards are consistently met across designated retail spaces.
• Conduct store visits to assess display effectiveness and provide feedback.
• Source and manage display materials and props, ensuring adherence to budget.
• Collaborate with store teams to ensure visual merchandising guidelines are understood and followed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in visual merchandising, retail display, or a related creative field.
• Strong understanding of retail environments and consumer behaviour.
• Excellent attention to detail and a good sense of aesthetics.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote capacity.
• Proficiency in basic design software or willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
