About the Role

Our client is seeking a data-driven and analytical Retail Operations Analyst to support their expanding retail presence in Cambridge . This role is crucial for enhancing operational efficiency, identifying areas for improvement, and providing actionable insights to the retail leadership team. You will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and reporting on key operational data, including sales performance, inventory management, and customer behaviour. Working in a hybrid capacity, you'll collaborate closely with store managers and head office teams, leveraging both remote analysis and in-person discussions to drive informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyse large datasets related to retail operations, sales, and inventory.
• Develop dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational trends.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and provide data-backed recommendations for improvement.
• Support the development and implementation of new operational processes and systems.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis to address specific business questions and challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and disseminate findings.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar analytical role, preferably within retail.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced), SQL, and ideally BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.
• Experience working within a hybrid work structure, demonstrating self-discipline and effective remote collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
