Retail Operations Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organised and efficient Retail Operations Coordinator to support their retail functions in Derby . This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of store operations by coordinating logistics, managing stock flow, and supporting the implementation of operational policies and procedures. You will act as a key liaison between store teams and head office, facilitating communication and resolving operational challenges. This position offers a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative and organisational skills who wishes to contribute to the operational success of a retail chain within the Derbyshire area, working in a structured, hybrid capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow of goods between distribution centres and retail stores, managing delivery schedules.
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of operational procedures and compliance standards.
• Support store teams with inventory management tasks, including stock takes and discrepancy reporting.
• Manage and maintain operational documentation, including reports and process guides.
• Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve operational issues.
• Assist in analysing operational data to identify areas for efficiency improvements in the Derby region.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an administrative, operations, or logistics support role, preferably within retail.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data management and reporting.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, balancing office and remote work.
