About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking architectural studio in Cardiff , is seeking an enthusiastic and talented RIBA Part II Architectural Assistant to join their growing team. This role is perfect for an individual looking to gain invaluable experience and contribute creatively to a variety of exciting projects across Wales. You will work closely with experienced architects, assisting in all stages of the design process, from initial concept development and planning applications to detailed design and site supervision. If you are passionate about architecture and eager to develop your skills in a supportive and collaborative environment in Cardiff , this is an excellent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of architectural designs, drawings, and presentations using industry-standard software.
Support senior architects in developing planning applications and ensuring compliance with local authority requirements.
Conduct research on materials, building systems, and relevant design precedents.
Participate in design team meetings, contributing ideas and solutions to project challenges.
Help prepare technical documentation for tender and construction phases.

Requirements

Successful completion of a RIBA Part II architecture degree or equivalent.
Proficiency in architectural design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong graphic and presentation skills, with a keen eye for design detail.
Good understanding of UK planning and building regulations.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to learning and development in Cardiff .
