Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for a diverse range of professional services clients seeking Professional Indemnity cover.
- Analyze financial statements, business operations, and historical claims data to identify and quantify potential risks.
- Determine appropriate policy terms, conditions, and pricing based on risk evaluation.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to underwriters and brokers on risk management strategies and exposures.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal underwriting teams and external clients/brokers.
- Stay abreast of legal, regulatory, and industry developments impacting professional indemnity risks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in risk assessment or underwriting, with a specific focus on Professional Indemnity insurance.
- Strong understanding of various professional service sectors and their associated risks (e.g., legal, architectural, IT consultants).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex financial and legal documents.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the capacity to articulate risk findings clearly.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACII, Diploma in Professional Indemnity) are highly desirable.
