Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Risk Manager with extensive experience in the financial services industry to join their team in Norwich . This pivotal role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating a broad spectrum of risks, including market, credit, operational, and compliance risks. You will develop and implement risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organization's assets and reputation. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies and frameworks across the organization.
- Identify, assess, and monitor key risks, including market, credit, operational, and regulatory risks.
- Design and implement risk mitigation plans and controls.
- Prepare regular risk reports for senior management and the board of directors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements related to risk management.
- Lead and mentor a team of risk professionals, fostering a strong risk-aware culture.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in risk management within the banking or financial services sector .
- In-depth knowledge of various risk types and risk management methodologies.
- Experience with regulatory frameworks such as Basel III or Solvency II.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
