Robotics Engineer - Manufacturing Automation

About the Role

Our client is looking for an innovative Robotics Engineer to specialize in manufacturing automation at their state-of-the-art facility in Stoke-on-Trent . This hands-on role is pivotal in designing, programming, implementing, and maintaining robotic systems that enhance production efficiency, safety, and quality. You will work with cutting-edge robotic technologies to develop automated solutions, troubleshoot operational issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate robotics into various manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is passionate about automation and possesses a strong understanding of robotic kinematics, control systems, and industrial programming.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and program robotic systems for manufacturing applications, including path planning and task execution.
• Integrate robots with other manufacturing equipment, sensors, and control systems (e.g., PLCs).
• Perform robotic system commissioning, testing, and validation to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with robotic hardware and software to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for robotic cells and equipment.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in robotics and automation technologies, recommending improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in programming industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) and understanding their control systems.
• Strong knowledge of robotic kinematics, dynamics, and control algorithms.
• Experience with PLC programming and integration with robotic systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software for robotic cell design and simulation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous approach to system implementation and maintenance.
