We're recruiting for a Sales Administrator to join a friendly and supportive team within a well-established business based in Gateshead. This is a varied, customer-facing role where you'll provide essential administrative and order processing support, manage customer orders and ensure everything runs smoothly through to delivery.
You'll be communicating with customers, suppliers and internal teams every day, providing updates, answering queries and keeping orders on track.

📋 About the Role
As a Sales Administrator, you'll play an important role in supporting the sales and customer journey, ensuring orders are processed accurately and customers are kept informed every step of the way.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and processing customer quotations and orders
Providing customers with regular updates on their orders
Responding to customer queries by telephone and email
Coordinating stock availability and delivery arrangements
Liaising with suppliers, manufacturers and internal teams
Monitoring orders through to completion
Resolving queries and helping to ensure any issues are dealt with promptly
Updating internal systems and maintaining accurate customer and order records
Uploading and maintaining relevant documentation
Providing general administrative and sales support to the wider team
Ensuring every customer receives a professional and positive experience
👋 About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident dealing with customers. You'll ideally have experience in a sales administration, customer service, order processing or general administration role.
You'll also have:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Confidence communicating with customers by phone and email
The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Good IT skills and confidence learning new systems
A proactive, solutions-focused approach
The ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
