About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Sales Director to lead their FMCG sales operations in the Leeds region. This senior leadership role requires a proven ability to drive revenue growth, build and manage high-performing sales teams, and develop strong relationships with key accounts. You will be responsible for setting sales targets, implementing effective sales strategies, and ensuring the successful penetration of our client's extensive product portfolio into diverse retail channels, contributing significantly to the company's commercial success and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute aggressive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets across all relevant channels.
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
- Analyze sales performance metrics, market trends, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure alignment on product launches and commercial plans.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in FMCG sales , with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in driving significant revenue growth and market share expansion.
- Proven ability to build, lead, and develop successful sales teams.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, channel management, and account management principles.
