About the Role
Our client is looking for a results-driven and strategic Sales Director to spearhead their sales operations in the Newcastle upon Tyne region. This senior leadership position is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth and expand market penetration for their FMCG products. You will lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team, foster strong client relationships, and identify new business opportunities. This role offers the chance to shape the sales function of a growing company within the dynamic FMCG sector, contributing directly to market success and establishing a strong presence in the North East.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
- Lead, manage, and coach the regional sales team to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with key accounts and strategic partners in the FMCG sector .
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with major customers and stakeholders in the Newcastle upon Tyne area.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to forecast sales, identify challenges, and propose effective solutions.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with broader company goals.
Requirements
- Proven track record of success in senior sales leadership roles, ideally within the FMCG industry .
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies that meet or exceed targets.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, channel management, and key account management.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
