About the Role
Our client, a prominent player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking an accomplished Sales Director to lead their sales operations in the North East region. This role is instrumental in driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and building strong relationships with key retail partners. You will manage a dynamic sales team, develop innovative sales strategies, and ensure the successful implementation of commercial plans. This position offers a hybrid working model, blending essential in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work, based in Newcastle upon Tyne .
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and expand market penetration within the FMCG sector .
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the regional sales team to meet and exceed performance goals.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, distributors, and retail partners.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies.
- Manage sales budgets, forecasts, and P&L for the region, ensuring profitable growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, preferably within the FMCG industry .
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective sales strategies.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, channel management, and key account management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and in-office responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
