Location: Lanchester, County Durham Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:30am - 2:30pm (20 hours per week) Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour Contract: Temporary Ongoing (Sickness Cover) Pay Frequency: Weekly

School Cleaner Required - Immediate Start

We are currently recruiting for a School Cleaner to work within a school based in Lanchester. This is a temporary ongoing position providing sickness cover, with the potential for a long-term assignment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, and communal areas Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors Cleaning and sanitising washroom facilities Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately Dusting and wiping down surfaces Ensuring all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times

Essential Requirements:

Previous cleaning experience is preferred An Enhanced DBS Certificate issued within the last 12 months, or registered on the DBS Update Service Completion of Safeguarding Training Completion of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) Training Completion of Ben's Law Training Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards
