Science Teacher

Location: Accrington, Lancashire Salary: £160.80–£215.68 per day Job Type: Full-Time, Long-Term / Ongoing

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging Science lessons and inspiring students to develop their knowledge, understanding and interest in the subject.

The successful candidate will be confident planning and delivering lessons, maintaining positive classroom behaviour and supporting students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.

*

Teaching and assessing students across relevant key stages.

*

Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.

*

Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback.

*

Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.

*

Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.

*

Working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school team.

Essential Requirements

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

*

Strong subject knowledge within Science.

*

Previous experience teaching within a secondary school setting.

*

Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.

*

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

*

A positive and adaptable approach to teaching.
