Science Teacher - Secondary School

Location: OX2, Oxford Start Date: Jan 2027 - Easter Salary: £DOE per day Contract: Temporary, ongoing until Easter (maybe longer) Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday

Empowering Learning is seeking a Science Teacher for a "GOOD" secondary school in OX2 to cover a planned absence from Januray until Easter.

The successful applicant will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4. In addition to delivering high-quality Science lessons, the role will include providing cover for other subjects when required, ensuring continuity of learning across the school.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging Science lessons up to Year 11 Plan, assess and adapt lessons effectively Maintain strong classroom and behaviour management Build positive relationships with students and staff Support student progress and development

Requirements

QTS or equivalent teaching qualification Secondary Science teaching experience Chemistry specialism preferred but not essential Strong classroom management skills Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
