Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Security Architect to design and implement robust security solutions for their organisation in Brighton . This senior role involves developing the blueprints for secure systems and infrastructure, ensuring that security is embedded into the design from the outset. You will work closely with IT, development, and business teams to translate requirements into secure, scalable, and resilient architectures. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure enterprise-level IT architecture, considering network, application, and data security.
• Develop and maintain security standards, patterns, and guidelines for technology adoption.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance the overall security posture.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure security requirements are met throughout the system development lifecycle.
• Conduct security reviews of proposed architectures and provide expert guidance.
• Lead security initiatives related to cloud adoption, digital transformation, and infrastructure upgrades.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Security Architect or in a similar senior security design role.
• Deep understanding of security principles, frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), and best practices.
• Expertise in designing secure solutions for on-premises, cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), and hybrid environments.
• Strong knowledge of network security, cryptography, identity and access management (IAM), and data protection.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or SABSA are highly valued.
