Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join their hybrid team in Bristol . In this role, you will be at the forefront of defending the organization against cyber threats by monitoring security alerts, detecting intrusions, and responding to incidents. You will work with state-of-the-art security tools and collaborate with a dedicated team to maintain a strong security posture. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from various security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR).
• Analyze security incidents, identify root causes, and initiate appropriate response actions.
• Perform threat hunting activities to proactively identify potential security breaches.
• Escalate critical incidents to senior analysts and management as per established procedures.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of SOC playbooks and procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all security monitoring and incident response activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in a SOC, incident response, or relevant cybersecurity role.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools and security monitoring concepts.
• Understanding of common cyber threats, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities.
• Basic knowledge of networking and operating systems.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
