About the Role

Our client is looking for a vigilant Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join their team in Wolverhampton . This role is critical for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats in real-time. You will be responsible for analyzing security alerts, investigating potential incidents, and contributing to the continuous improvement of security monitoring capabilities. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from various sources, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection tools.
• Investigate security incidents, analyze logs, and identify the root cause of potential breaches.
• Perform initial triage and containment of security threats according to established procedures.
• Document incident details, actions taken, and recommendations for further action.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of SOC playbooks and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in a SOC environment or related IT security role.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools, network protocols, and common security threats.
• Understanding of incident response principles and procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
