About the Role
Our client is seeking a vigilant and technically skilled Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst to join their cybersecurity team. This role is designed to be fully remote, allowing you to contribute to protecting our client's digital assets from anywhere. You will be at the forefront of threat detection and incident response, monitoring security systems 24/7, analyzing alerts, and taking immediate action to neutralize cyber threats. This position is ideal for an individual with a passion for cybersecurity, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, working within a dynamic and evolving threat landscape. You will be a key part of maintaining the integrity and security of our client's networks and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security infrastructure and SIEM systems for security threats and anomalies.
- Analyze security alerts, investigate potential incidents, and perform initial triage.
- Respond to security incidents according to established procedures, including containment and eradication.
- Conduct threat hunting activities to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Document security incidents, findings, and remediation steps thoroughly.
- Collaborate with other security team members and IT staff to enhance security posture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a SOC Analyst role or similar cybersecurity operations position.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment and communicate clearly.
