SEMH Support Staff – Alternative Provision

Are you driven to make a real difference in the lives of children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? Do you have the resilience, patience, and passion to support young people who need it most? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

We are working with a fantastic SEMH alternative provision that is looking to welcome dedicated and proactive support staff to their team. This is a highly rewarding role where no two days are the same, and where your impact will be truly meaningful.

The Role

You will support students with SEMH needs, helping them engage with education, build confidence, and develop positive behaviours. The role is hands-on and requires individuals who are willing to get stuck in and build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.

What We’re Looking For:

• Resilient, patient, and adaptable individuals

• A genuine passion for supporting children with SEMH difficulties

• Positive role models who can build rapport and maintain boundaries

• Experience is beneficial but not essential — the right attitude is key

Why Join This School?

• Excellent progression opportunities within a supportive setting

• Ongoing training and professional development

• A chance to make a lasting impact on young people’s lives

• A welcoming and collaborative team environment

We particularly encourage applications from psychology graduates or individuals looking to start a career in education, mental health, or youth work. With structured training and development, this role can open up the right doors and help you build a strong foundation for your future career.

Flexible Opportunities: We are able to offer both temporary and permanent roles, depending on availability and your preference.
