SEMH Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) 📍 Reading & Wokingham, Berkshire 📅 Start Date: September 2026 💰 Competitive Daily Rate (Dependent on Experience) 📋 Long-Term Opportunity | Full-Time SEMH Teaching Assistant Required We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to support a Year 10 pupil on a 1:1 basis across two specialist education settings in Reading and Wokingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Role As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will provide consistent 1:1 support to a Year 10 student, helping them to engage positively with learning, manage their emotions, and achieve their educational goals. The successful candidate will work:
Thursday and Friday in a specialist SEMH School in Reading Monday to Wednesday in a school based in Wokingham Supporting the same pupil across both settings Building positive relationships and promoting emotional wellbeing Assisting with classroom activities and learning interventions Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in education Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teamsThe Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who:
