About the School
Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a number of SEN Teaching Assistants to join supportive and welcoming schools across Shepperton.
These schools support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), Speech & Language Difficulties, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and SEMH needs. Staff are dedicated to providing a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can develop both academically and personally.
With multiple vacancies available, these opportunities are ideal for individuals looking to gain experience within SEN education or further develop their existing skills.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them access learning and achieve their individual goals.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting pupils with SEN both inside and outside the classroom Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions Encouraging positive behaviour and student engagement Assisting with academic, social, and emotional development Supporting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities Helping implement EHCP targets and individual support plans
Contract Details
Location: Shepperton Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Temporary with potential permanent opportunities Duration: Ongoing Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm Full-Time: Yes Pay Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience
Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable SEN, education, support work, care, youth work, or mentoring experience beneficial Patient, resilient, and proactive approach Strong communication and relationship-building skills A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
To Be Eligible For This Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
