Long Term Futures are recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to join the specialist resource base of an inclusive primary school in Birmingham.
The school provides dedicated specialist provision for pupils with significant and complex learning needs, including children who benefit from highly individualised learning, sensory-based activities and increased adult support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a consistent, long-term SEN role.
In this role, you will:
Support pupils within the school's specialist resource base Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual needs Assist with communication, sensory regulation and engagement Support targeted interventions, including speech and language activities Help pupils develop independence, confidence and basic learning skills Work closely with teachers, the SENDCo and wider support teamYou'll need:
Previous experience supporting primary-aged children with SEND Experience with complex learning needs, autism, communication needs or sensory needs is highly desirable A calm, patient and nurturing approach Confidence supporting pupils who require a highly personalised curriculum Commitment to a full-time, long-term positionNext Steps - Our 4-Step Process
