SEN Teaching Assistant – Specialist SEN School
Addlestone, Surrey Monday–Friday | 8:30am–3:30pm | Full-Time Immediate & September Start Dates Available
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people?
We’re working with a friendly, supportive specialist SEN school in Addlestone that is looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs within a nurturing, inclusive and engaging environment.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support throughout the school day
Support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs
Encourage positive behaviour, independence, confidence and social development
Support pupils with their individual learning and EHCP targets
Adapt activities and provide practical support according to individual needs
Work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEN team
Help create a safe, positive and engaging learning environment
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience working in an SEN school or similar setting is essential
Experience supporting children with a range of additional needs
A patient, resilient and proactive approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Team Teach training is beneficial but not essential
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEN

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
