Senior 3D Animator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Senior 3D Animator to join their dynamic creative studio in Coventry . You will be responsible for bringing characters and environments to life through high-quality animation for a range of exciting entertainment projects. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to visual storytelling, working both collaboratively in the studio and independently from home. You'll play a key role in defining the animation style and ensuring technical excellence, making a tangible impact on the final product and collaborating closely with a team passionate about visual arts.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality character and environmental 3D animations in line with project art direction and technical requirements.
• Animate complex scenes, focusing on believable movement, timing, and emotional performance.
• Collaborate with art directors, riggers, and technical artists to achieve desired animation outcomes.
• Optimize animations for real-time engines and ensure smooth integration into the production pipeline.
• Provide guidance and feedback to junior animators, fostering a culture of skill development.
• Participate in animation reviews and contribute to problem-solving for challenging animation tasks.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in 3D character animation for games, film, or similar media.
• Proficiency with industry-standard 3D animation software (e.g., Maya, Blender, 3ds Max).
• Strong understanding of animation principles, including timing, spacing, weight, and anatomy.
• Experience with motion capture cleanup and retargeting.
• Ability to work effectively in both remote and in-studio environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
