About the Role
Our client, a dynamic and innovative studio, is seeking a talented Senior 3D Environment Artist to join their fully remote team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for crafting immersive and visually stunning game environments that bring virtual worlds to life. You will collaborate closely with level designers, art directors, and other artists to establish and maintain the aesthetic vision of our projects, ensuring a cohesive and engaging player experience. Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality 3D environment assets , including terrains, structures, props, and foliage, adhering to project art style and technical requirements.
- Develop and implement game-ready environment art , optimizing assets for performance and visual fidelity across various platforms.
- Work with concept art and art direction to translate visual goals into tangible, interactive game spaces.
- Utilize industry-standard software such as Maya, 3ds Max, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine/Unity for asset creation and scene composition.
- Provide feedback and mentorship to junior artists, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the remote team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a 3D Artist in the game development industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing environment art.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling , texturing, and PBR workflows.
- Experience with modern game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity.
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and color theory in environmental design.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote-first working environment.
