About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior 3D Modeler to join their creative studio located in Stoke-on-Trent . In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D assets, from characters and props to environments, that meet the demanding standards of the entertainment industry. You will collaborate closely with art directors, concept artists, and technical artists to bring digital worlds to life with intricate detail and realistic form. Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed and optimized 3D models for characters, props, and environments based on concept art and technical specifications.
• Perform high-poly sculpting, retopology, UV unwrapping, and texture map creation.
• Collaborate with the art and technical teams to ensure models integrate seamlessly into the project pipeline and meet performance requirements.
• Ensure artistic consistency and adherence to the established visual style of the project.
• Provide guidance and feedback to junior modelers, contributing to the team's overall skill development.
• Stay updated on the latest 3D modeling techniques, software, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a 3D Modeler in the gaming, film, or animation industry.
• A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality hard-surface and organic modeling skills.
• Proficiency in industry-standard 3D modeling software such as Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
• Solid understanding of PBR texturing workflows and optimization techniques for real-time rendering.
• Ability to interpret concept art and translate it into compelling 3D assets.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, essential for collaboration within the Stoke-on-Trent studio.
