Senior Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to strategic financial planning. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP or IFRS.
• Manage and oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to support business decision-making.
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for annual audits.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, management accounting, and financial analysis .
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of UK tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong analytical abilities.
