About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team in Aberdeen . Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws, maintaining impeccable records.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, providing critical insights for strategic decision-making.
- Reconcile bank statements and intercompany accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly and effectively.
- Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and providing explanations as required by auditors and management.
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent professional certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with a strong understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, management accounting, and financial analysis .
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proactive approach to tasks and challenges.
