About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP or IFRS.
• Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis and trend identification, to support decision-making.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
• Oversee and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of professional development and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and statutory requirements, liaising with external auditors as needed.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a proven track record in a similar role.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a commercial or practice environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards .
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
