About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting principles, regulations, and tax laws in the UK .
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve financial processes.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business objectives.
• Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Requirements

• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent, with a strong track record in accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with proven expertise in financial reporting and analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP or IFRS, tax legislation, and best accounting practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
