Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP or IFRS.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and tax laws in the United Kingdom .
• Support external audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.

Requirements

• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with a strong understanding of financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and advanced Excel skills .
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles relevant to the UK market .
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
