About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Accountant to join their esteemed finance department in the heart of London . This pivotal role involves managing complex financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and contributing to strategic financial planning. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide explanations for financial performance discrepancies.
- Manage the audit process , liaising with external auditors and ensuring compliance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and financial policies.
- Support senior management with financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with at least 5 years of relevant experience .
- Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proven experience in financial reporting and management accounting .
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
