About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced and meticulous Senior Administrative Officer to join their operations team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the office and supporting departmental functions. You will be responsible for a range of administrative duties, including managing correspondence, maintaining records, supporting project administration, and assisting with office management tasks. The successful candidate will be a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to providing excellent administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence, ensuring timely distribution.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and paper filing systems and databases.
- Provide administrative support for projects, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and tracking progress.
- Assist with the onboarding of new staff, including setting up workstations and providing necessary information.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal queries and direct them to the appropriate departments or individuals.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in a Senior Administrative Officer or a similar comprehensive administrative role.
- Proficiency with standard office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to high standards of work.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
