Senior Aerospace Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Aerospace Project Manager to lead key initiatives from their Oxford office. This role is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex aerospace projects, from concept to completion. You will manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring seamless collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and client teams. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a strong understanding of aerospace development lifecycles, and a proven track record of delivering high-value projects on time and within budget, contributing to the company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full lifecycle of aerospace projects , including planning, initiation, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, including budgets, resource allocation, and timelines.
• Oversee cross-functional project teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration to achieve project objectives.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular progress reports and managing expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management within the aerospace industry .
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-disciplinary aerospace projects.
• Strong understanding of aerospace engineering processes, development cycles, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in project management software and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
