Senior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Leicester . This critical role involves overseeing and performing complex maintenance, inspection, and repair tasks on a diverse fleet of aircraft, ensuring the highest standards of safety and airworthiness. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on aircraft structures, systems, and engines.
• Supervise and mentor junior maintenance engineers, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to procedures.
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to perform complex maintenance tasks accurately.
• Certify completed maintenance work in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance performed, including parts used and time spent.
• Respond to AOG (Aircraft On Ground) situations efficiently and effectively to minimize downtime.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in heavy maintenance.
• Valid EASA Part-66 AML with relevant type ratings.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding technical documentation and aircraft systems .
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a safety-critical environment.
