Senior Analytical Chemist - Pharmaceutical

About the Role

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is looking for an experienced Senior Analytical Chemist to join their dynamic team in Leeds . This role focuses on the development, validation, and implementation of analytical methods for the characterization and quality control of novel pharmaceutical compounds and formulations. You will be instrumental in ensuring the purity, potency, and stability of our drug products throughout the development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished drug products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, MS, and spectroscopy.
• Perform routine testing of materials and products to ensure compliance with regulatory specifications and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and optimize analytical methods, resolving any issues that arise during testing.
• Prepare detailed analytical reports, method validation documents, and regulatory submissions.
• Mentor junior analytical chemists and provide technical guidance on method development and troubleshooting.
• Stay abreast of current industry trends and regulatory guidelines related to analytical chemistry and pharmaceutical quality control.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical analysis, method development, and validation.
• Proficiency with a range of analytical instrumentation, particularly HPLC , UPLC, GC, and Mass Spectrometry.
• Strong understanding of ICH guidelines, GMP, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Excellent data interpretation, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced pharmaceutical research and development setting in Leeds .
