Senior Analytical Chemist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Analytical Chemist to join their dynamic research and development team in Bristol . This role is integral to ensuring the quality, purity, and efficacy of our client's innovative products through rigorous analytical testing and method development. You will lead complex analytical projects, develop and validate sophisticated analytical methods, and provide critical data to support product development and regulatory submissions. Working in a well-equipped laboratory, you will collaborate with a team of dedicated scientists and contribute to scientific excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Perform advanced analytical testing using techniques such as HPLC, GC, MS, NMR, and spectroscopy.
• Investigate and resolve analytical issues, troubleshoot instrument malfunctions, and ensure data integrity.
• Characterize new chemical entities and impurities, providing comprehensive analytical data.
• Contribute to regulatory documentation and responses to health authority inquiries.
• Mentor junior analytical chemists and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical or chemical industry analytical development.
• Extensive hands-on experience with a variety of analytical instrumentation and techniques.
• Strong understanding of method validation principles according to ICH guidelines.
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, and familiarity with LIMS.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
