Senior Analytical Chemist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Analytical Chemist to join their renowned laboratory services team, operating remotely. This role is vital for ensuring the quality and integrity of analytical data across a range of scientific projects. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of analytical techniques to develop, validate, and implement sophisticated testing methods. This fully remote position allows you to contribute your expertise from anywhere, collaborating closely with project teams through advanced digital communication tools, ensuring the highest standards of scientific rigor and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and transfer new analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Perform complex analyses using a variety of instrumental techniques, including HPLC, GC, MS, ICP, and spectroscopy.
• Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and methodologies, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
• Interpret analytical data, prepare comprehensive reports, and present findings to internal teams and clients.
• Ensure all analytical activities comply with relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., GMP, GLP) and company SOPs.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior analytical chemists and technicians.

Requirements

• MSc or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in analytical chemistry, with a strong focus on method development and validation.
• Expertise in multiple chromatographic (HPLC, GC) and spectroscopic (UV-Vis, IR, NMR) techniques.
• Experience with mass spectrometry (LC-MS, GC-MS) and other advanced analytical instrumentation.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality systems in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
• Excellent data interpretation skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
