Senior Analytical Development Scientist

About the Role

Our client seeks a highly motivated Senior Analytical Development Scientist to enhance their product development capabilities in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is central to developing and validating robust analytical methods for characterization and quality control of pharmaceutical products. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that products meet stringent regulatory and quality standards throughout their lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods (e.g., HPLC, GC, MS, spectroscopy) for drug substances and products.
• Characterize product impurities and degradation products, establishing control strategies.
• Perform stability studies and interpret data to assess product shelf-life.
• Author method validation reports, analytical procedures, and relevant sections of regulatory filings.
• Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and methods, ensuring reliable data generation.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in analytical development within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Expertise in chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques.
• Strong understanding of GMP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements for analytical methods.
• Proficiency in data analysis software and scientific report writing.
