Senior Analytical Scientist - HPLC

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Analytical Scientist with specialized expertise in HPLC to join their advanced analytical development team. This is a remote-first position, enabling you to contribute your analytical prowess from anywhere while supporting critical quality control and research initiatives for our Bradford -based operations. You will be instrumental in developing, validating, and implementing robust analytical methods to support drug substance and drug product characterization and release. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of chromatographic techniques and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance in pharmaceutical analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and transfer robust analytical methods, primarily using HPLC and UPLC, for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Perform method development for impurity profiling, assay determination, and related substances.
• Troubleshoot analytical issues and optimize existing methods for improved performance and efficiency.
• Write comprehensive method validation reports and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with formulation development, quality control, and regulatory affairs teams to meet project timelines and requirements.

Requirements

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical analytical development, with a strong focus on HPLC/UPLC .
• Proficiency in method development, validation, and transfer according to ICH guidelines.
• Experience with various detectors (UV, DAD, ELSD, MS) and chromatographic columns.
• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environments.
