Senior Animator

About the Role

Our client, a leading digital media studio in Stoke-on-Trent , is seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Animator to join their innovative team. You will be responsible for bringing characters and concepts to life through high-quality animation for various projects, including games, advertisements, and educational content. This role requires a deep understanding of animation principles, proficiency in industry-standard software, and the ability to guide and mentor junior animators. Key Responsibilities

• Create compelling and high-quality 2D or 3D animations for diverse projects.
• Collaborate closely with directors, artists, and game designers to ensure animation meets project vision and technical requirements.
• Develop character rigs and animation cycles , ensuring fluidity and realism.
• Provide feedback and guidance to junior animators, fostering their development and maintaining quality standards.
• Optimize animation assets for performance in real-time engines or rendering pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and solve technical challenges related to the animation pipeline.

Requirements

• Proven professional experience as an Animator , with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in character animation.
• Proficiency in industry-standard animation software such as Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, or Adobe After Effects.
• Deep understanding of animation principles, including timing, spacing, weight, and appeal.
• Experience with character rigging and motion capture cleanup is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
