About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Architect to lead design projects within their established practice in Newcastle upon Tyne . This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire architectural process from initial concept development through to project completion. You will be instrumental in mentoring junior staff, managing client relationships, and ensuring the highest standards of design quality and technical execution. This hybrid position allows for focused office collaboration and the flexibility of remote work, fostering a balanced and productive environment for shaping significant architectural endeavors across the region and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of architectural projects, from concept to construction documentation.
• Manage project teams, including junior architects and technicians, providing guidance and oversight.
• Engage directly with clients to understand their vision, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure all designs meet regulatory requirements, building codes, and sustainability targets.
• Conduct site analyses and feasibility studies for new and existing projects.
• Present design proposals to clients, planning authorities, and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Professional qualification in Architecture (RIBA Part III or equivalent).
• Significant experience (7+ years) in architectural practice, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• In-depth knowledge of UK planning law, building regulations, and construction methods.
• Proven leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent client-facing and presentation abilities.
