About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Architect to lead key projects within their Newcastle office. You will be instrumental in driving design excellence, mentoring junior staff, and managing the architectural process from inception to completion. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to shape significant developments, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the strategic direction of the firm, balancing in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design development and execution of diverse architectural projects, ensuring high standards of quality and innovation.
- Manage project teams, provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and designers.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and consultants to ensure project objectives are met.
- Conduct thorough site assessments and feasibility studies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, planning regulations, and health and safety standards in the UK .
Requirements
- Professional qualification in Architecture and current registration with the ARB or RIBA.
- Significant experience as a Senior Architect, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Expertise in architectural design software such as Revit , AutoCAD, and visualization tools.
- Deep understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and contract administration.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and client management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work model.
